Above photo: Sargeant Bay Sunlight on Water / The Sacrament of the Present Moment

Hello Everyone… I am sending love and light to you wherever you may find yourselves as you come across this email. Today my Wild Wondering is going to be shorter than usual as I have some unexpected things to attend to. Just when calmness felt like a settling energy, change arrived. I am learning rather reluctantly to embrace the magnificence of uncertainty!

I took this photo of the sun and its radiant light playing on the water yesterday. I was struck by the shimmer and joy that it offered me. I had entered a God Spot… a place of awareness and presence where all is one and all is well. I was reminded of the importance of lingering longer in these places of awe, wonder, and reverence. I believe that we humans are being called to acknowledge and inhabit these glorious present moments more and more and more! Water is the great connector, and it is God consciousness. The sun offers us life, clarity, and optimism. Somehow everything is seen in a new light when the sun shines. Nature heals us. It brings us into coherence. The only response is gratitude!

The Sacrament of the Present Moment is a beautiful spiritual practice that was originally spoken of by Jean Pierre de Caussade, a French Jesuit priest and writer. He was the Eckhart Tolle of the 17th century. Jean Pierre believed that we are invited to live fully in the present no matter what may be going on around us. It is about living satisfied in the naked now. This consciousness will teach us how to actually experience our experiences, whatever they may be, and allow them to transform us. Pure presence lets it just be.

A pure experience is always non-dualistic. It begins with a radical “YES” to each moment. Wow… I am learning to practice the sacrament of the present moment, even when it is challenging. There is always something to be gleaned or gleamed!

May you take time to practice The Sacrament of the Present Moment as you watch and listen to this stunning piece by HAEVN and Neco Novellas entitled, “Trade it For the Night.” May you “just take the moment…don’t waste another life.”

See some of you tomorrow for Wild Seeds of Light Church.

With Love and Respect,
Jacqueline
