Greetings All You Wild Wintery Luminous Ones!
What a weather adventure these past few days have been! We went from spring bulbs popping up…to frigid, crunchy ground…to an abundance of snow, and now to the slushy mess of rain mixed with snow. There are absolutely no dull moments allowed outside in creation. I can only speak for myself when I say that there have been no dull moments inside either. I have been on an inner journey as the world outside has invited me inside to rest, reflect, and wrestle a bit during these days. I am learning to live from the inside out rather than from the outside in as I let go of limiting beliefs and allow new ones to enter in. I feel at peace in this liminal space…a threshold time between what was and what is next as we herald in The Age of Aquarius.
I am grateful to be house/dog/cat sitting for 10 days in a lovely home on the waterfront in Halfmoon Bay. I have been keeping the wood stove stoked as the furnace broke and needs replacing, but the repairman has been unable to get here. The experience of spending time with Mazee, the dog, and Elliot, the cat, while keeping the fire burning has created a new rhythm that is lovely to behold. The other amazing gift is to watch the bird life in the bay.
The two birds that stand out for me are the hummingbird who bravely flutters at the feeder outside, and the blue heron patiently anchored in his resting place by the water’s edge. The image above is of a print on the wall in my temporary home and the focus of my wild wondering.
I love that the hummingbird invites us into joy and play regardless of the weather. They live in the present moment, and they absolutely seize it for what it’s worth. Hummingbirds remind us to look for the sweetest nectar in life. There is goodness and beauty in each moment. I learned something new about these little winged creatures today. The fluttering of their wings moves in the pattern of the infinity symbol…they remind us that we are infinite beings. Wow…how cool is that! They flutter eternity, continuity, and infinity! No wonder that so many indigenous peoples see them as symbols of peace, love, and happiness. Hummingbirds can travel thousands of miles like little miracles daring us to believe in the impossible as they raise the frequency through joy.
The blue heron in the bay seemed oblivious to the snow and rain as he simply anchored himself to the earth and water and carried on. Heron teaches us to weather the storms as we take time for self-reflection. The lesson of knowing ourselves and then discovering and uncovering our own unique gifts makes us better equipped to handle our challenges with grace.
Heron invites us to take the deep dive into our personal narratives. What are we choosing to see? Are we seeing ourselves as less than…as unworthy…a negative story line. Or do we see ourselves as beautiful reflections of God’s love? When we see ourselves as unworthy or when we wallow in self-pity, we cut off our inner light. We manifest what we tell ourselves. Heron reminds us to stand tall in balance and harmony with all that is. Remember that when we blame others or point a finger at the negative situations of life, we give away our self-responsibility.
Heron wisdom instructs us to claim self-responsibility for our actions as we work on our weaknesses and develop our strengths. It is about being honest with ourselves mind, body, and soul. The more self-responsible the more our potential is unleashed to benefit the world as we give ourselves permission to shine brightly.
“There is always light. If only we are brave enough to see it.
~Amanda Gorman
If only we are brave enough to be it.”
I am looking forward to our Wild Seeds of Light gathering this Sunday. We are so blessed to be together at this time and in this place! It is time for us to remember who we are and how interconnected we are to everything. We are worthy! We are God’s magnificent masterpieces! We have our own unique role to play! Hip Hip Hooray!
What else can I say?
Much Delight,
Jacqueline
I have included two video links for your viewing pleasure. The first is a poignant piece about realizing that you are worthy by Madison Watkins.
The second one is a joy reminder to drop into your heart…the portal of love at your centre, as we leap together into the Age of Aquarius. This is a brand new one by Jacob Collier and Camilo… so beautiful!
